CIRANDA DE ENCONTROS: TOURISM ROUTES, EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCES AND PRACTICES OF COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM IN PARAÍBA

Abstract

RESUMO: De acordo com as metas nacionais dos Objetivos do Turismo Sustentável (ODS) devem-se, até 2030, ser concebidas e implementadas políticas para promover o turismo sustentável e responsável, acessível a todos, e que gere emprego e trabalho digno, melhore a distribuição de renda e promova a cultura e os produtos locais. O Turismo de Base Comunitária (TBC) se encaixa em tais premissas pois, em seu exercício, as comunidades tradicionais abrem suas portas à visitação para contar a sua história e do seu território, com o protagonismo sobre a organização, condução e termos da visita, em que a renda gerada no TBC reverte para a própria comunidade, para o seu sustento e desenvolvimento. O projeto de extensão do Curso de Turismo da UFPB, intitulado “Ciranda de Encontros: roteiros turísticos, troca de experiências e práticas no TBC”, objetiva promover o encontro entre comunidades tradicionais e lideranças de TBC da Paraíba para troca de experiências e práticas, estimulando o diálogo, a cooperação e o trabalho sinérgico, aliando saber popular, organização social e conhecimento. Cada comunidade, e a forma como desenvolve seu turismo comunitário, fornece à outra elementos para reflexão e intercâmbio de práticas para que estas possam ser compartilhadas com visitantes, de modo a suprir as necessidades de autossustentação econômica e de torná-las visíveis aos olhos da população e do poder público diante de suas carências e potencialidades. O projeto “Ciranda” atua na promoção do encontro entre lideranças de comunidades que trabalham o TBC, para o fomento da inclusão social, melhor distribuição de renda, autossustentação e autogestão das comunidades, agregando aprendizado e promoção de valores como simplicidade e altruísmo aos que praticam esta modalidade. Sendo assim, o objetivo do presente artigo é apresentar os resultados dos encontros promovidos pelo “Ciranda” em seu primeiro ano e o que foi alcançado em termos das metas propostas. ABSTRACT: According to the national goals of the Sustainable Tourism Objectives (SDGs), by 2030, “policies to promote sustainable and responsible tourism, accessible to all, and that generate employment and decent work, improve distribution income and promote culture and local products”. Community-Based Tourism (TBC) fits perfectly into these premises because, in its exercise, traditional communities open their doors to visitors to tell their story and that of their territory, in a format in which they have a leading role in the organization. , conduct and terms of the visit, and where the income generated in the TBC goes back to the community itself, for its sustenance and development. The extension project of the UFPB Tourism Course, entitled “Ciranda de Encontros: tourist itineraries, exchange of experiences and practices in TBC”, aims to promote meetings between traditional communities and TBC leaders in Paraíba to exchange experiences and practices, stimulating dialogue, cooperation and synergistic work, combining popular knowledge, social organization and knowledge. Each community, and the way it develops its community tourism, provides the other with elements for reflection and exchange of practices so that they can be shared with visitors, in order to meet the needs of economic self-sustainability and make them visible to the eyes of the population. and public power in view of its needs and potential. The project in question will work to promote meetings between communities that work with TBC, to promote social inclusion, better income distribution, self-sustainability and self-management of communities, adding learning, promoting values ​​such as simplicity and altruism to those who practice this modality. Therefore, the objective of this article is to present the results of the meetings promoted by the “Ciranda” Project in its first year and what was achieved in terms of the proposed goals.
