O TURISMO DE BASE COMUNITÁRIA E O PATRIMÔNIO CULTURAL: REFLEXÕES, USOS E APROPRIAÇÕES

COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM AND CULTURAL HERITAGE: REFLECTIONS, USES AND APPROPRIATIONS

Abstract

RESUMO: O presente artigo tem por objetivo examinar (investigar, caracterizar e compreender) as relações entretidas entre o Turismo de Base Comunitária e o Patrimônio Cultural tanto na sua perspectiva material quanto na sua perspectiva imaterial. O artigo promove reflexões sobre os processos históricos de apropriação do patrimônio cultural pelo turismo, apresentando aspectos dessa apropriação primeiramente pela prática do turismo cultural (visto aqui também como uma prática turística de massa), elencando as próprias mudanças observadas nessa prática ao longo do tempo (como a produção de legislações e de sugestões para utilização planejada desse patrimônio) e expõe para além dessa tipologia a do Turismo de Base Comunitária (aqui encarada como uma nova forma de se fazer turismo), tratando de algumas das suas possíveis definições e comentando acerca da sua história, além de apresentar alguns exemplos de utilização dos seus patrimônios por algumas comunidades que desenvolvem em seus territórios a prática do TBC. ABSTRACT: This article aims to examine (investigate, characterize and understand) the relationships between Community-Based Tourism and Cultural Heritage from both its material and immaterial perspectives. The article promotes reflections on the historical processes of appropriation of cultural heritage by tourism, presenting aspects of this appropriation primarily through the practice of cultural tourism (also seen here as a mass tourist practice), listing the changes observed in this practice over time ( such as the production of legislation and suggestions for the planned use of this heritage) and exposes, beyond this typology, that of Community-Based Tourism (here seen as a new way of doing tourism), dealing with some of its possible definitions and commenting on the its history, in addition to presenting some examples of the use of its heritage by some communities that develop the practice of TBC in their territories.
