AGOTAMIENTO EMOCIONAL Y SU RELACIÓN CON EL ESTRÉS DE LOS EMPLEADOS QUE LABORAN EN LA INDUSTRIA MANUFACTURERA Emotional exhaustion and its relationship with the stress of employees working in the manufacturing industry

Abstract

RESUMEN: Hoy en día se ha demostrado que la salud mental tiene un papel sumamente valioso en la vida personal. El entorno laboral no es la excepción, las organizaciones solicitan con mayor frecuencia a personal profesional que sea capaz de llevar sus actividades laborales bajo presión y que permanezcan eficientes causando en los trabajadores agotamiento emocional. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar si el agotamiento emocional se relaciona con el estrés de los trabajadores. Dicha investigación fue desarrollada en la industria manufacturera de Ciudad Juárez especialmente en los sectores automotriz, electrónico, médico y fabricantes de muebles. Este estudio fue de tipo no experimental, transversal, y correlacional con enfoque cuantitativo, se utilizó una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia de 99 participantes. Se consideró como sujetos de estudio a gerentes, supervisores, ingenieros, técnicos y personal administrativo. Los datos fueron analizados mediante el programa de estadística SPSS y los resultados obtenidos permitieron afirmar que el agotamiento emocional tiene relación positiva y significativamente en el estrés que manifiestan los trabajadores. ABSTRACT: Nowadays it has been shown that mental health has an extremely valuable role in personal life, the work environment is no exception, organizations more frequently request professional personnel who can carry out their work activities under pressure and that remain efficient causing emotional exhaustion in workers. The objective of this research was to analyze whether emotional exhaustion is related to workers' stress. This research was developed in the manufacturing industry of Ciudad Juárez, especially in the automotive, electronics, medical and furniture manufacturers sectors. This study was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational with a quantitative approach, a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 99 participants was used. Managers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel were considered as study subjects. The data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program and the results obtained allowed us to affirm that emotional exhaustion is positively and significantly related to the stress manifested by workers.
